NEW YORK 2025
camera ready LONDON 2026
camera ready los angeles 2026
After a brilliant London course in 2025 when we shot the powerful Knife Crime drama 'RIPPLE' during an incredible three days we will return to London for a four day event August 3rd - 6th inclusive.
It is a four day event this time giving us the opportunity for more Casting Director workshops, onscreen coaching, accent coaching and of course casting and shooting our new short film 'Judgement.' You will be filming with our award winning crew and you will also get to work alongside them as sound technicians, set designers and everything a crew does to gain the knowledge and expertise needed to be super confident on set. Appreciating it takes a village to make TV and film as you work together for the strongest outcome. You will gain an IMDB credit and will also have a headshot shoot with the incredible Elsie Rose Photography and receive the behind the scenes pictures to add to your IMDB and PR use.
Judgement explores the aftermath of an incident and flashes back to stories of the cast and the assumptions and judgements we make when we don't have the full facts. This is how events become distorted especially in the press and on social media. It is a story of intrigue and will provide scenes for our cast with 2 or 3 other actors in each which can then be used as stand alone showreels outside of the movie.
It will be four days of fun and filming in our wonderful Capital City in the height of the summer. We will also be having an early evening picnic on Hampstead Heath for all our families with games and a chance to interact with other families who are also on this exciting journey of film and TV.
Our actors arrived in New York in October 2025 for 5 full on days of filming.
They were cast in and filmed a short film on location in New York gaining an IMDB credit and a powerful movie which is entered into film festivals and from which they can draw footage for their showreels.
They took classes with industry professionals from New Yorks top casting directors geared towards TV and Film and Broadway and visited New York Film Academy campus for a morning to explore what is on offer.
From being onset filming against the New York backdrop with a fantastic award winning crew, classes with casting directors, acting coaching for both TV and Film and theatre, accent coaching, voiceover classes and dance classes at Broadway Dance in Times Square, it was an action packed week.
There was a behind the scenes photoshoot with Elsie Rose Photography with a rustic New York setting that gave our actors a wealth of images for their IMDB and social media.
The final film was screened at The Garden Cinema in Covent Garden.
Send us an email and let us know a little bit about yourself, your acting experience and what workshop or event you are interested in.
1. Say Hello
We will get back to you with all of the details for the event or workshop. Some courses require an audition tape, which we would request at that time. Once we have everything back, a deposit is due and then you booked onto the course.
It's the day of the event! We can't wait to have a lot of fun and learn many new techniques and tips. New friends are always made and memories for a lifetime!

A great opportunity to develop your acting skills and technique. It is always a fun experience. As well developing your acting skills, there are opportunities to learn what it is like to work behind the scenes and how movies and TV shows are made. Learning all aspects of the film making process, including camera angles, lighting, sound, location set up and directing. A true recommendation to anyone who loves to act and wants to gain experience and learn from professionals in a truly inspiring environment. I have gained invaluable knowledge and confidence as well as friends! The team are incredible, very supportive, enthusiastic and they truly love what they do. I cannot recommend this enough.
Sarah Elmsley - Frank's mum
Good morning,
I just wanted to write to say thank you so much for an amazing 3 day experience for Frank. We know how much hard work and preparation went into the 3 day Camera Ready Event.
Frank absolutely loved the three days and every day he came out on a high. He has learnt so much which will be invaluable for his acting journey going forward.
It was also lovely for him to meet Carol after virtual classes etc.
We also enjoyed visiting Liverpool which was a bonus for us.
-Seren Basu
I joined the 3 day workshop in Liverpool this summer but was completely new to Camera Ready Events. I was so nervous walking through the doors for the first time and knowing no one, but Carol and the team could not have been more supportive, smiley and welcoming.
Being a part of the cast and crew to make a short movie was so exciting. The whole experience was really special, and honestly I feel it’s super charged my confidence and passion to carry on with what I love to do, knowing I am enough. Thank you, Seren

Working with Camera Ready has been an incredible experience! Carol,
Lauren, and the entire team bring such professionalism, creativity,
and passion to every project. They made the process seamless and
enjoyable from start to finish. I’m beyond excited to see the final
film, and I can’t recommend Camera Ready highly enough!
- Rebecca Taylor, Bea's mum
Hey Carol,
I just wanted to drop a quick message just to say thank you. I'm sure many have said this before, but not only is the acting coaching you provide for Bea so wonderful but the support and positive energy, the words of advice, praise and understanding you give to Bea as a young girl is truly remarkable. You praise the person she is and acknowledge the troubles and difficulties she may be facing with such empathy, encouragement and positivity, that she always leaves your lessons with a positive outlook, no matter what kind of day she has had up to that point. So thank you. x
-Deb Talent - Los Angeles
Carol we love you! Thank you so much for all you do seriously. I can see improvements already. I wish I took all of my clients to you sooner. But with your help we will succeed.
Go team!

-Kelly Stewart - Hollyoaks / Denis & Gnasher Unleashed (Emmy Nominated)
Carol has coached me for many years from my time working as a series regular on Hollyoaks to creating characters and helping me find my feet in the animation world on our Emmy nominated CBBC show. My career wouldn’t be where it is today without her passionate guidance. I can’t recommend her enough.
-Oliver Bell - Salem / West World / The Magicians / Once Upon a Time
What I love about Carol is that she prepares you for an audition or when you are onset in a way that gives you so much confidence. Onset she is calm and funny and whispers little tips to you. She makes acting fun and helps you see who the characters are and how they fit into the scenes which helps give the director what they want on screen.
Andrea Basu - Seren's mum
Dear Carol & Lauren,
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to yourselves, Liz & Dickie for giving Seren such a brilliant experience and learning opportunity this weekend.
The care and attention you gave to all the young people was so visible and genuine, which as a parent means a great deal.
